O presente trabalho é o relatório final de pesquisa entregue ao Curso de Mestrado em Ciências do Movimento Humano da Escola de Educação Física da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, sob o título: “A relação entre esporte e educação na perspectiva dos alunos do Ensino Médio das escolas particulares”, para fins de obtenção do título de Mestre. Através da pesquisa qualitativa do tipo etnográfico e com a utilização da entrevista semi-estruturada, da observação participante, do diário de campo e da análise documental, como instrumentos de coleta de informações, tenho como objetivo responder ao seguinte problema de investigação: Como os alunos do terceiro ano do Ensino Médio das escolas particulares de Porto Alegre percebem o esporte na escola e qual a relação que eles estabelecem entre o esporte e os seu processos de formação educativa? A dissertação está organizada em duas partes. Na primeira, estão localizados os referencias teóricos onde desenvolvo uma aproximação ao problema e apresento as decisões metodológicas que conduziram a pesquisa. Na segunda, trato da interpretação dos resultados obtidos no campo. Estas informações deram origem as quatro categorias de análise: A prática esportiva nas escolas; o esporte na perspectiva dos alunos; esporte e aprendizagem; e a escola na perspectiva dos alunos. Nas considerações finais, apresento: as limitações da pesquisa, as idéias que podem dar continuidade ao tema de investigação e a conclusão, que resume minhas reflexões durante o processo de desenvolvimento da pesquisa.

Although physical education is regulated by law and recognized as a mandatory component of basic education class, which includes high school, there are many reports that these classes do not actually happen. Such evidence shows the situation experienced by the author of this study, which brought this research to the attention. Therefore, the objective was to investigate and understand the perspective of students, physical education teachers, principals and coordinators forward their ideas to this reality, about the high school physical education in private schools. The research made use of qualitative approach, guided by an exploratory study. The technique was undertaken to collect the questionnaire with open and closed questions, involving 263 students enrolled in high school of four schools in two cities in the state of Sao Paulo and also the director, coordinator and professor of physical education of each one of these institutions, resulting in 12 education professionals. The categories of analysis were defined as: 1. Regarding physical education in high school, 2. The occurrence of physical rducation in high school, 3. Content and dynamic strategies developed in class 4. Student participation in class. The results show that despite, although some schools have physical education classes, there are still many students who do not take them. This reveals a double challenge to the area, which is: although it is essential that such a curriculum component is included in the grades (respecting the regional law legal system) that is not enough students that actually participate in it. As teachers, coordinators and directors recognize the importance of effective physical education, there are numerous of factors that deserve consideration to better understand this reality. The paper's main goal is to promote a deeper reflection on the use of the most important tools concerning business management, by respecting certain changes, in order to fit private elementary schools - both kindergarten and primary schools. It focuses on the main functions and support functions related to business administration, marketing elements concerning both related services and the department structures, in order to sketch the elementary school's reference matrixes. The study was carried out in Curitiba-Pr, between June and October/2001, gathering data from five different elementary school's management strategies and models, chosen according to their importance in the marketplace and structure. After this database had been created, the analogous study on the case report - São Judas Tadeu de Curitiba School - proceeded, focusing on its main management elements.

The school bullying involves all aggressive, intentional, repetitive attitudes, occurring without apparent motivation, adopted by one or more students against another (s) causing pain and anguish, and implemented within an unequal relationship of power, making possible the intimidation of the victim. Its expressions involve defamatory rumors, discrimination, theft or damage to property, harassment, threats, beatings, isolation, exclusion of a person or group, intimidation, intolerance and disrespect. In this study, we sought to identify the design educators have about the bullying, and are known by what means are aware of the problem, is involved when identifying cases of bullying and how to give this speech. This study used for data collection a questionnaire applied to 107 educators from 14 private schools in Natal / RN, who received statistical treatment in the program SPSS and the results analyzed in the light outside of a social and historical reference. Among the results, we found that 83% of the interviewed educators has at least heard about bullying, and the information about the problem are mainly the media, like television, newspapers and magazines. The educators said that the surname and physical attacks are more frequent outbreaks of violence among students and also the most common complaints when they look for help. The necessity for intervention when it identifies a case of bullying is present in 97.03% of respondents and 73.27% of educators are also called by students or school officials to remedy the situations of bullying among students. On the forms of intervention employed, the most common is the conversation and warning the students involved. It is suggested that the intensification of studies related to the subject and the development of actions and programs antibullying involving the school community (educators, parents, students, employees), in partnership with social segments like Tutelar Council and others related to the protection of children and adolescent
